As an experienced candidate with great communication skills, fluency in English and experience within an office and call-center setting, potential interns for this hotel can look forward to answering and maintaining the facility’s phone lines, providing guest support services ranging from sales to information on resort events and options, working on a cash register and coordinating guest arrival and departures.
Job Description:
Employees should expect to complete the following tasks daily:
- Monitor telephones and assist with services including reservations, confirmations, accommodation requests and more
- Provide accurate, detailed information about resort amenities and services
- Complete and confirm reservations according to hotel strategy and protocol
- Maintain and provide knowledge of hotel information, including, but not limited to, current events, hours of operation, dining information and more
- Greet each guest in a friendly, professional manner
- Provide guests with necessary information upon check-in
- Ensure credit card is obtained for incidentals on each check-in
- Assess and rectify customer complaints, aiming for customer satisfaction
- Involve supervisors when appropriate
- Answer phones promptly and with appropriate hotel greeting
- Receive and log any deliveries for guests, including mail, packages, cleaning, etc.
- Accurately count and handle currency as allotted per drawer
- Post additional charges to guest rooms as necessary
- Provide check-out services and ensure guest satisfaction
- Complete all additional requests
Requirements:
Requirements for employment include:
- Previous experience in hospitality industry, including guest services and experience with reservations
- Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal
- Interpersonal skills
- Fluent in English language, both written and verbal
- Working knowledge of computer technology and effective keyboard skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially Word and Excel
- Previous experience monitoring and answering telephones and switchboards
- Ability to listen and understand both customers and higher level management
